On iPhone, Amblee uses Apple Screen Time. During setup, the app asks for Screen Time permission and opens Apple's app picker, where you choose the apps to block. Your selections stay on your device. Amblee only records that a blocked set exists. In your browser, install the Amblee extension. It ships with seed blocklists covering 80+ gambling and prediction sites, and you can add your own domains. Blocks stay on until you meet your monthly deposit goal.
Two common reasons. First, goals count confirmed deposits, not pending ones. A transfer usually confirms within a few business days of posting at your bank. Second, deposits only count when they land in a designated account. Check that the account you are depositing into is marked as a goal account in the app. Also note that withdrawals and reversed deposits subtract from your progress, and a reversal can re-lock your blocks.
Bank connections run through Plaid. A connection can drop when your bank requires you to sign in again, and Amblee disconnects your banks about a week after your access to Amblee ends, or after you connected the bank if that was later (never sooner than 7 days). Either way, while you have access to Amblee the bank shows as needing to be reconnected in your linked accounts: tap Connect bank and choose it again, and Plaid will walk you through your bank's login. Amblee never sees your bank password. Deposits made while the connection was down are picked up once it is restored.
You can change your goal in settings, and the change takes effect at the start of the next month. Changing the goal is a sensitive action, so the app asks for your 4-digit guardrail PIN or your account password before saving.
Use your account password instead. Anywhere the app asks for your PIN, you can authenticate with your password, and you can then set a new PIN in settings.
A hardship unlock lifts your blocks for 24 hours. When you request one, there is a 10-minute delay before it takes effect, and you are asked to write a short reflection that only you can see. You can use up to 3 hardship unlocks per month.
You cancel where you bought it, so start by checking which that was.
Bought in the iPhone app. Apple bills it, and only Apple can cancel it. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Amblee, and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, and we cannot refund it either; refunds on that route are Apple's to give.
Bought in the Android app. Google Play bills it, so you cancel it with Google. On your Android phone, open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, tap Payments and subscriptions, tap Subscriptions, choose Amblee, and tap Cancel subscription. You can also go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. For a refund on that route, use Google Play's own refund request for the purchase.
Bought on amblee.co. We bill it through Stripe. You manage and cancel it in the Stripe billing portal, which you reach from Billing in your Amblee account. Because the charge is ours, we can refund it. Email support@amblee.co to ask about a refund.
Deleting your account is not the same as canceling. It ends a web subscription straight away with no refund of the unused part, and it tells Google to stop a Google Play subscription renewing, also with no refund. It does not stop an App Store subscription, so cancel that one with Apple as well.
The plan is $4.99/month or $49.99/year in the US. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial that takes no payment method and does not turn into a paid subscription on its own. The free trial the iPhone app offers when you buy is a different one: it is Apple's introductory offer, and it does renew into a paid subscription at the price Apple shows unless you cancel with Apple first.
Three ways, each described step by step at amblee.co/delete-account: from settings in the app, from the web after signing in at amblee.co, or by emailing support@amblee.co from the address on your account. In the app and on the web, deletion is a sensitive action, so it asks for your PIN or password. Your bank connections are severed immediately (we stop reading them and tell Plaid to remove them), you are signed out everywhere, and your data is hard deleted after 30 days. Amblee never sells your data. Nothing about you goes to an advertising company unless you turn on Ad measurement with Meta, a setting only the iPhone app has today.
