Amblee uses Apple Screen Time to hold the apps you picked shut. Not a reminder or a timer you can swipe away: the phone enforces it. Your selections stay on the device, and iOS never tells us which apps you chose.
The apps open when a deposit into your own account clears. Connect a bank through Plaid, or log a screenshot of the transfer: the image is read on your phone and only the amount is sent.
Move the money back out and the block returns. What counts is what stayed in your account, not what passed through it. On the 1st the blocks re-arm and the deal renews.
Life happens. A hardship unlock lifts the block for 24 hours after a 10-minute delay, up to 3 a month, with a short reflection only you can see. It stays available if your subscription lapses, so an expired trial or a missed payment never traps you behind the block.
The same block on the web. It ships with seed blocklists of gambling and prediction sites, takes any domains you add, and stays on until you meet the month’s deposit goal.
There is no balance at Amblee, no transfer to authorize, and no card in the middle. Amblee can see that money moved. It can never move it.
Bank access is read-only and runs through Plaid. You sign in with your bank inside Plaid, and your password never passes through Amblee.
The subscription is the entire business model. Nobody else pays us, so there is nobody else to sell to.
Billed through your Apple account. 7 days free, then $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. Available in the US, Canada, the UK and the EU.
Bank connections cover the US, Canada and the UK. Elsewhere you log deposits by screenshot, read on your phone — the block works the same either way.
