Delete your account

For the Amblee app on iPhone and Android, and the amblee.co dashboard, by Amblee LLC

You can delete your Amblee account at any time, from the app, from this website, or by email. This page says how, and exactly what happens when you do. You do not need the app installed to do it.

From the web

  1. Sign in at amblee.co/login with the same account you use in the app. The website signs in with an email address and password, or a passkey. If your account has neither, for example because you signed up with a phone number, use the app instead.

  2. Open Settings. At the bottom, under Danger zone, choose Delete account.

  3. Confirm. Deletion is a sensitive action, so you are asked for your guardrail PIN or your password one more time.

In the app

  • On iPhone. Open Account, then Account & security, then Delete account, and confirm with your PIN or password.

  • On Android. Tap the account button at the top of the Home screen, then Account and security, then Delete account, and confirm with your PIN or password.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email support@amblee.co from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We check that the request comes from the account's own address, delete the account, and reply to tell you it is done. We respond within 2 business days.

What happens when you delete

Straight away

  • Your bank and brokerage connections are severed. Amblee stops reading them and no account counts toward a goal any more.

  • You are signed out everywhere. Every session on every device ends.

  • The apps you picked stay blocked on your phone. Deleting the account leaves blocking on, the same as signing out does. Turning off Amblee's permission in your phone's settings (Accessibility on Android, Screen Time on iPhone), or removing the app, is what ends that.

  • A subscription bought on amblee.co is cancelled. We bill that one through Stripe, so we end it ourselves, at once, with no refund of the unused part.

  • A subscription bought in the Android app stops renewing. We tell Google Play to cancel it, with no refund of what you already paid. You can see it end at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

  • A subscription bought in the iPhone app is not cancelled, because we cannot. Apple bills it and gives us no way to end it, so Apple keeps charging you until you cancel it yourself at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel there first.

After 30 days

Your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems. During those 30 days the account is closed and cannot be signed into, and the data is kept only so that an accidental deletion can be undone and so that we can send you one email confirming the deletion. If you change your mind within that window, email support@amblee.co from the account's address and we can restore it. A subscription the deletion cancelled stays cancelled.

One exception: if you joined with a creator's code, the commission records your payments created are accounting records of money owed to someone else. They are kept for seven years with your account ID replaced by a one-way pseudonym, as our Privacy Policy describes. Nothing else survives.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. It cancels a web subscription and stops a Google Play one renewing, but one bought on an iPhone has to be cancelled with Apple. Our support page has the steps for every way you might have bought it.
